Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is responding after her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan subtly referenced her in a recent video.
On Monday, the country singer shared a video on his Instagram Stories featuring him setting fire to a flag for Barstool Sports — the media company that hosts LaPaglia’s podcast BFFs.
Shortly after, the influencer, 26, seemingly responded by posting a selfie on her Instagram Stories of her making a surprised face with the overlay text: “Nurse he’s loose again” with crying and laughing emojis.
She also posted a screenshot of a web search for “how do i file a restraining order.”
Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, also responded to Bryan’s post on Instagram, reposting the country music star’s video with the caption, “Oh no. How are we gonna recover?”
Bryan and LaPaglia first confirmed their relationship in July 2023 after months of speculation. LaPaglia and Bryan appeared together several times over the next year — including making a red carpet debut at the 2024 Grammys in Los Angeles.
In October 2024, Bryan confirmed that the pair had split up with a post on Instagram, writing, “I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways.”
Shortly after, LaPaglia responded to Bryan’s post, writing on her own Instagram Stories that she was feeling “really blindsided.”

Several weeks later, LaPaglia continued to open up about the split on an episode of BFFs, alleging that Bryan emotionally abused her.
“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,” LaPaglia said. “I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him. My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad.”
Reps for Bryan did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time, and he has not publicly addressed the allegations since.
In January, LaPaglia addressed the relationship again in the digital cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. The content creator alleged that she had previously turned down an invitation to the magazine’s 60th-anniversary celebration because Bryan had told her to do so.
“This cover is me being me again and taking control of my life,” LaPaglia said. “This is my body; my body isn’t that experience, and even though I’m not 100% in it right now, this is me. This doesn’t have anything to do with anybody else.”
She added: “It is just, on a petty level, my favorite f— you.”
