Sharna Burgess detailed her journey with in vitro fertilization during the Tuesday, May 6 episode of the Money Rehab podcast
Burgess suggested that she and Green plan to ensure they have a daughter this time around

Sharna Burgess has her heart set on welcoming a girl into her blended family.
On the Tuesday, May 6 episode of the Money Rehab podcast, the Dancing with the Stars alum, 39, opened up to host Nicole Lapin about her plan to expand her family. Burgess, who’s engaged to Brian Austin Green, revealed that she’s hoping to be expecting a new addition to the family by the end of next year.
Burgess noted, however, that she wants to start trying sooner rather than later, so she can be “as young as I can possibly be” while undergoing the in vitro fertilization process. The proud mother also shared that she and Green, 51, are planning to do gender selection with their next baby.
“I think we’ll do gender selection and do IVF because [Brian is] five for five on boys,” Sharna said. “Who’s gonna take a chance on that?”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is a father of five children. He shares son Kassius Lijah, 21, with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil and sons Journey River, 8, Bodhi Ransom, 11, and Noah Shannon, 12, with ex-wife Megan Fox. In June 2022, the actor welcomed his fifth child, Zane Walker, 2, with his now-fiancée Burgess.
Green and Burgess discussed co-parenting a blended family on the Quite Frankly podcast in April 2023.
“It’s so beautiful. First of all, they make it easy. They’re incredible kids,” the Dancing with the Stars pro said. “Brian and Megan did such an amazing job. Kass is also an amazing kid. There’s been no resistance, I have a beautiful relationship with them.”
In July 2023, Green recruited his kids to help him propose to Burgess.
“We head into our bedroom and I start to get these feelings,” Burgess recalled on the couple’s podcast, Oldish. “The kids come in and Noah is holding Zane and Journey is holding this little red Cartier box. They stand next to Bri and he says, ‘Would you spend the rest of your life with us?’ It was the most perfect, beautiful moment.”

On Monday, April 7, the professional dancer shared photos of her blended family on her Instagram, including shots of her 2-year-old son Zane, posing with his older siblings Noah, Bodhi, and Journey.
In one photo, the family can be seen in a gelato shop, holding ice cream cones and posing together. Green holds Zane, while three of his older siblings pose in front. Burgess can be seen sporting red hair, leaning over to pretend to take a lick of an ice cream cone.
“As of late 🫶🏼 still not over slide 8 🥹,” Burgess wrote in her caption.
