Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s new gig might cause some issues for her husband, Brad Paisley.
On Thursday, May 8, the actress revealed that she will be joining the cast of 9-1-1: Nashville for its debut season, set to premiere later this year. Later that day, the “Whiskey Lullaby” crooner took to his Instagram Stories to chime in on the news.
“Oh great. Now when I call 911 here it’ll be ‘oh grow up, you’re fine,’” he joked about his wife playing a first responder in their hometown of Nashville.
Kimberly, 53, then reshared the message and replied, “Truth.”

In a separate post, the According to Jim alum celebrated the announcement, which included LeAnn Rimes’ casting as well, and expressed her excitement to work with the show’s previously named stars Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw.
“YE-HAW!! I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of 9-1-1 Nashville alongside @chrisodonnell @jessicacapshaw and @leannrimes!!” she wrote. “Thanks so much to @ryanmurphyproductions @911nashville and @abc for bringing me into the fold. I’m also really excited to be working in my own backyard! 🎊✨❤️.”
She also shouted out her team and concluded with several emojis, adding, “😁😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

In the comments, Rimes shared her reaction to signing on to the highly anticipated procedural, which was first announced just weeks after 9-1-1: Lone Star’s season 5 series finale following its cancellation.
“can’t wait!!!” the singer wrote. “we’re going to have a blast! ❤️”

Kimberly, who starred in the first two seasons of the hit series Nashville from 2012 to 2013, is currently in an entirely different television role as the season 3 host of Fox’s reality dating series, Farmer Wants a Wife.
Her Grammy-winning hubby, 52, has proven to be a supportive partner throughout her new endeavor, even appearing on multiple episodes this season. In the premiere, he made a surprise cameo, where he and Kimberly offered the four farmers and their potential wives a look into their playful dynamic.
“We’ve made it work for 21 years, so if we can do it, anyone can do it,” Kimberly said before Brad teased, “It’s 21 years?”
“Yeah, shut up,” she responded, giving him a nudge.
Brad returned in a later episode, where he admitted he knew the actress “was the one” from the moment he saw her in her breakout film, Father of the Bride, in 1991.
