LOS ANGELES — Beyoncé wasn’t the only superstar to own the stage on opening night of her “Cowboy Carter” tour; her daughter Blue Ivy Carter blew fans away with her fierce performances and stellar moves throughout the show.

The singer’s 13-year-old daughter floored the audience as she took the stage as a lead dancer during her mom’s debut Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28. The next day, fans were still talking on social media about Blue Ivy’s jaw-dropping performances.

Blue Ivy dances in a number of songs throughout the show. One moment fans were still reveling over was her dance break as Beyoncé performed her song “America Has A Problem” from her 2022 “Renaissance” album. Blue was front and center, and it was clear she made a lasting impression on everyone in SoFi and online.

Beyoncé grinned as her oldest daughter soaked up the spotlight.

One fan shared another angle of the performance saying, “Our niece has officially morphed to her mother…I was mesmerized by her stage presence last night.”

And it’s clear she’s making family and fans proud. Blue Ivy’s aunt the singer Solange Knowles quickly shared a clip of her niece’s “America Has a Problem” performance on social media. She wrote, “exactylyy neicy pooohh.”

Another standout moment from the show also included Blue Ivy, who embraced her little sister, Rumi Carter, 7, onstage. The two sisters stood hugged and alongside their mom as she sang her song “Protector” from the eighth studio album. It marked the first time Rumi ever appeared onstage with Beyoncé.

Blue, Rumi and Beyoncé ended the song standing together as they shared smiles with one another. Following the performance, a montage of Beyoncé and her children appeared on the screen, leaving fans in tears.

Blue Ivy’s fierce catwalk before ‘Deja Vu’ dance number

One of the top and most talked about moments of the night happened when Blue Ivy confidently cat-walked on the stage. She then danced in front of background dancers to Beyoncé’s 2006 song “Deja Vu.” From the strut to the hair flips, Blue Ivy put on a show that’s worth watching for yourself.

Videos of her performances continued to make rounds on social media the next morning, and while folks were blow away, they were not all that surprised. This is the second tour where Blue has appeared as a backup dancer, though this time she seems to be leading. Blue made her debut on the 2023 Renaissance World Tour in Paris. She also danced with her mom during the Beyoncé Bowl NFL halftime show on Christmas Day 2024.

Of course, the groundbreaking spectacle in Los Angeles kicked off kicked off a total of 32 stadium shows on the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour. Fans from all over the world traveled to witness Beyoncé’s debut show, which was filled with family, politics, soaring vocals, incredible costumes and masterful dancing.

The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. She’s set to make history with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist.
