Blake Lively Gets Roasted After ‘Awkward’ Dress Mishap

Blake Lively might have looked like a real-life princess at the “Another Simple Favor” premiere, but even Cinderella had bad days.

The “Gossip Girl” alum turned heads Sunday afternoon at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, dazzling in a Cinderella-blue gown with cleavage-baring crisscross cutouts, statement earrings, and stacks of sparkly pink Lorraine Schwartz bracelets.

Her romantic waves and nude lip gloss completed the glamorous look as she posed alongside co-star Anna Kendrick amid swirling feud rumors.

But eagle-eyed trolls weren’t about to let Blake Lively’s big and “awkward” moment slide without a little shade.

Online sleuths quickly noticed that Blake suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, brown smudges under her arms where her body makeup had rubbed off on her dress, and they wasted no time roasting her in the comments.

Taking to Instagram, one user pointed out, “The body makeup on the side of the corset,” alongside a shocked emoji.

Another added, “Unfortunate armpit spray tan on the dress,” while a third chimed in, “The gasp I GUSPED.”

The internet continued to pile on, with reactions like, “Oh no!! Can’t unsee it!!” and “The self-tanner pit stains on Blake’s dress are a nice touch.”

One fan even joked, “Anyone notice the dirt on her dress on the left?” with several laughing emojis.

Someone else simply wrote, “Awkkkwarddd.”

Despite the minor mishap, Blake seemed unfazed, cozying up to Kendrick on the red carpet. The women held hands and flashed megawatt smiles as they promoted the highly anticipated sequel, which drops May 1 on Prime Video.

“Pitch Perfect” star Anna also stunned, showing off her toned midriff in a chic cropped white top and matching high-waisted pants, but kept her cool when it came to addressing ongoing feud speculation.

Fans have been whispering about bad blood between Blake and Anna for months, especially as Lively’s messy legal battle with “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni heats up.

Reported points of tension allegedly include billing disputes for their new movie and frustrations that Blake’s legal drama has overshadowed their press tour.

Tensions were further fueled when the actresses reunited at SXSW in March. When asked what it meant to work with Blake again, Anna cryptically replied, “Oh, you know…” while signing autographs, doing little to squash the rumors.

Still, a source previously told E! News that “there is no drama. They are not enemies. They are coworkers, friends and get along well.”

Also standing firmly by Blake’s side at Sunday’s premiere was husband Ryan Reynolds, who looked dapper in a gray suit and brown loafers. The power couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other, sharing loving glances as Blake rested her hand on Ryan’s chest and he held the small of her back.

Lively’s red carpet appearance follows her recent recognition as one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people for 2025, an honor celebrated at the TIME100 Gala on Thursday, April 24. During the event, she delivered a speech that subtly (though not explicitly) touched on her ongoing legal battle with Baldoni.

“I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum,” the “Gossip Girl” alum told the crowd. “What I will speak to separately is the feeling of being a woman who has a voice, today and since I could speak, because of the pain, caution and fight of the many women who have paved the way and the men who stood beside them, millions I will never know the name of, because every life, every act, big or small, affects another.”

“It’s a ridiculous joke,” Kelly said on the red carpet. “She shouldn’t be here. She has no influence over anything.”

Kelly didn’t stop there, also accusing Lively of having “launched a fake MeToo allegation” against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
