“I couldn’t tell you which child I love the most, so I’m not going to tell you which song I love the most. That would be very unfair,” Weber teases. “But those songs, they’re very, very significant and powerful. Do I come home and listen to them at the end of a long day? No, I don’t. But, there’s songs that are private that are between the two of us. Even though they’re out there in the public. I happen to like a song called ‘Falling of the Rain.’ It means a lot to me, but it wouldn’t mean much to anyone else, I don’t think. Well, I guess it would, because he’s him, but that was just my life, and I’m at a loss for words.”
She continues: “I like ‘Through the Long Night.’ Of course, I have emotions, and I love deeply. I have lots of passions, but all those emotions and all of those feelings [had taken] place primarily 40 something years ago — 50 years ago, even — and so now they’re just part of the fabric of a life well lived.”
Weber and Joel, 76, were previously married from 1973 to 1982.
And So It Goes is out now on HBO and HBO Max.
