Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas claimed Sunday on his Instagram Story that he was tear-gassed at a “peaceful protest” in Los Angeles, California.
Finneas was among thousands protesting immigration raids over the weekend.
“Tear gassed almost immediately at the very peaceful protest downtown — they’re inciting this,” he wrote on social media.
The 27-year-old brother of Billie Eilish previously reshared a number of Instagram posts condemning the actions of the National Guard.

“I [love] LA FFFFFFUUUUUCKK ICE. FUCK OFF ALL OF YOU WEEKEND GI JOE LOSERS,” a post by Tim Heidecker shared to Finneas’ Instagram story read.
“IF YOU ARE’T INTO THIS FASCIST SHIT YOU ARE SMALL AND WEAK AND WILL LOSE,” the post continued.
Finneas also reshared a cautionary message attributed to television producer Travis Helwig about how the protests are covered in the media.
“In the coming days, the national media is gonna call LA a war zone. But the truth is, the folks protesting today were worried about their friends, their neighbors, and their community,” the post said.
“A few idiots will throw a rock and it’ll take over the entire narrative. But just know LA is afraid right now because their coworkers were kidnapped at work. Because the guy who sold them dinner was snatched by masked men. And because a bunch of neighbors’ parents straight up never came home,” the statement continued.
“As Trump gleefully escalates this with the National Guard, violence is inevitable. But just know this protest started from a place of protection. A place of love,” the message said. (RELATED: Kid Rock Firmly Supports Trump’s ICE Raids Even When His Restaurant Is Shaken Up)
Protests have been ongoing since Friday after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers began conducting raids at numerous locations.
