Beverly Mitchell shared that she’s struggling with her self-image, and is looking to “make changes” after not “feeling super great about myself.”
The 7th Heaven alum, 44, shared a confessional video on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 6, explaining why “a few of my videos have all had filters on it.” As she explained, “Lately, I have not been feeling super great about myself. I’ve definitely been really hard on myself and just not feeling that I recognize my body. There’s a lot of things happening.”
While Beverly said that she’s not sharing her struggle “to get any kind of feedback” or positive comments, she shared that she knew she was having a hard time and “not feeling comfortable in [my] own skin” — but instead of “wallowing in that, I’m gonna do something about it. I’m not sure exactly what, but I am going to start making changes so I can feel good about myself again.”
As she explained in the caption for the video, she’d “decided to come clean and be super vulnerable. To all those who don’t feel themselves or are struggling in any way! I hear you! Decided to make some changes and going to share because it’s time I take better care of myself!”

She reiterated that point in her video, saying it was intended “for anyone else who feels the same way. Just know that I see you, I hear you, I feel you, and I am with you.” Beverly invited her followers to “come along on my journey,” which she elaborated would involve food, self-care, exercise and “just making changes so I can get back to being me.”
Beverly’s post resonated with fans and celebs — like Tiffani Thiessen, who commented, “I had this same feeling when I was 49 and I made massive changes for myself that I am so happy I did. Here for you lady! You can do it. Be kind and patient with yourself is what I can say. Mental health is just as important if not more than physical health.”
