Maroon 5 fans were left scratching their heads on Thursday, June 26, when the band took to social media to “introduce Maroon 5’s new front woman,” who turned out to be none other than the former The Voice coach’s wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo.
The news accompanied a sneak peek of the band’s newest music video for “All Night,” which is set to premiere later the same evening. While Levine’s voice rang out when the lyrics started, it was Prinsloo’s mouth that the words escaped from, with the Victoria’s Secret Angel standing in front of a vintage-looking microphone. Physically, Levine was nowhere to be found.
Many fans were obsessed with the switch-up, with one gushing, “Our queen Behati ✨✨✨✨ my fav angel!!!! So excited to see the music video.”
“ooooo I love this plot,” someone else applauded, with a third agreeing, “what a slay.”
“im so confused,” one less enthralled listener admitted, as another quipped, “What the helly,” quoting a viral TikTok sound.
“I was confused for a second lmao,” another emphasized.
Meanwhile, someone else started brainstorming a new moniker for the group, with one proudly suggesting, “Behati 5 💅,” in advance of the video’s premiere.
