Beloved ’90s Sitcom Stars Reunite 3 Years After Sudden Death of Costar originally appeared on Parade.
Several members of the Full House cast reunited at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles on June 5 for iHeartRadio’s “How Rude, Tanneritos!” Wedding Special live event. According to a press release sent to Parade, cast members Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin cohosted the event where actors John Stamos and Lori Loughlin talked about their on-screen romance.
During the event, cast and crew members, including series creator Jeff Franklin, Scott Weinger (Steve) and Marla Sokoloff (Gia) shared some behind-the-scenes stories with fans. Moreover, Stamos got up and sang Forever and Kokomo with Beach Boys tribute band Surf City.
Missing from the reunion was Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
iHeartRadio’s “How Rude, Tanneritos!” Wedding Special live event marked one of the handful of times the cast members have reunited since the death of costar Bob Saget. Saget, who played Danny Tanner on the popular television series, died in 2022 after suffering blunt head trauma.
Saget had been on a comedy tour at the time of his death, and was found inside a hotel room in Orlando, Florida at the time. He was just 65 years old.
After hearing the news, the Full House cast released a joint statement.
“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family,” they said in a post shared on Stamos’ Instagram account. “Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob.”
