Liz Lin Ruoyu, a Taiwanese beauty influencer, has died at age 36.
“Although Liz has quietly left, the beauty and love she left behind will always be with us,” wrote the content creator’s husband in a translated post on Instagram on Aug. 10, confirming her death.
The influencer, whose following on Instagram totaled over 144,000, regularly posted beauty and lifestyle content to her account — sharing a video trying on different kinds of eyeglasses as recently as June 3. Her content on the platform dates back to 2012.

“On social platforms, she never saw herself as an ‘influencer’ but as a friend to everyone,” wrote Liz’s husband on Instagram. “She always tried her best to respond to every message just because she really cared and really appreciated everyone who supported her.”
“She was always curious about new things, especially about small animals, with infinite gentleness and care,” he added. “She always had a unique and fascinating taste, always able to use her vision and creativity to add beauty and inspiration to the world.”

“Still miss you so much,” wrote Hannah Yang, a peer influencer who had made content with Liz, in a translated post.
“May Liz be beautiful and happy in another world ❤” wrote another influencer in a translated post.
Nancy Tsai — a Taiwanese blogger and friend of Liz’s for 15 years — remembered the content creator with a post to her Instagram account, sharing several photos together over the course of their friendship.

No cause of death for the influencer has been shared.
