Some of The Brady Bunch stars are back together again!

Barry Williams, Mike Lookinland, Susan Olsen and Christopher Knight reunited at The Chocolate Expo on Long Island, N.Y., on Sunday, May 4, for a panel discussion about their hit show. Knight, Williams, Lookinland and Olsen played siblings Greg, Bobby, Cindy and Peter Brady, respectively.

Reflecting on the bond the cast shared while working on The Brady Bunch, which ran from 1969 to 1974, Williams tells PEOPLE exclusively that the family dynamic was prominent off-screen as well.

“I think that translated from the show, the chemistry we had, and is evidenced by our lifelong friendships, relationships,” the actor, 70, says.

“We know the ups and downs. We’ve been through weddings, we’ve been through separation, we’ve been through kids, we’ve been through college now,” he continues. “It’s been really nice, as evidenced by being here.”

The Brady cast members last reunited in March, sans Knight, 67, for their first Chocolate Expo appearance.

For that event, which took place in New Jersey, Williams, Lookinland, 64, and Olsen, 63, reflected on their bond 50 years after The Brady Bunch‘s final episode.

“We’re all still friendly and get together. I think it’s fun for us to all get together, which we do,” Williams said. “Some of them I like better than my own family … The chemistry — which you can’t fake — is genuine.”

The cast has kept in touch in other ways over the years as well. Knight and Williams host The Real Brady Bros podcast, and their most recent, much-hyped episode gave a behind-the-scenes look at the show’s beginnings.

Olsen revealed on the podcast that she “almost died” while shooting the show’s pilot, “Honeymoon.” In the episode, Brady parents Mike and Carol, played by the late Robert Reed and Florence Henderson, kick off the show by getting married.

“I was standing on a makeup chair and something from the catwalk, where they keep all the lights and everything, fell,” Olsen recounted. “It hit the makeup man first, [bounced] off the body makeup woman, and hit me in the face.”

Producers decided the show had to go on, so I Love Lucy makeup guru Hal King was dispatched to cover Olsen’s bruises before shooting the wedding scene.

“You can tell, if you look at the ceremony and you see the three girls on one side, if you were to zoom in really tight, you can see my face is quite swollen,” Olsen said. “I look different. You can even see it in some of the early publicity shots.”

Olsen maintained a good sense of humor about the incident, however. “The saddest news is that we didn’t sue Paramount, because I would have made more off of that than the show,” she joked.

The Brady kids have made other public appearances in recent months. In November, Knight and Williams were joined by Eve Plumb, who played their onscreen sister Jan, on NBC’s Today show to promote a Brady Bunch-themed sweepstakes for the charity No Kid Hungry.

The Brady Experience invites fans to take a tour of the house that was used for exterior shots on the show, and the interior was remodeled to resemble the Brady home.

The Brady Bunch also featured Maureen McCormick as eldest sister Marcia and the late Ann B. Davis as housekeeper Alice.
