Nearly three months after Bachelorette star Katie Thurston first shared her breast cancer diagnosis with the world, she’s opening up about the symptoms that have come with another part of her journey: medically induced menopause.
In posts she shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 6, Thurston, 34, admitted she hasn’t been feeling her best, since menopause means hot flashes and fatigue, along with dehydration from one of the medications she’s been taking.
“Tired AF from menopause and dehydration AF from medication,” she wrote on the post, which has since expired, per PEOPLE.
Thurston opened up more about her most recent doctor’s visit on her Instagram “Boobie Broadcast” channel this week, sharing that she was now at risk of developing lymphedema.

“Another day, another doctor’s note summary,” she wrote. “My latest discovery via the notes is how many lymph nodes have been impacted. Based on my notes, 10+ impacted, which is high. I think radiation would be a must as I assume we wouldn’t remove all the impacted lymph nodes.”
She added that since “surgery is far out at this point still,” she’s not sure how many of those lymph nodes will have to go just yet, but she’s already doing a “deep dive” on the subject so she knows the right questions to ask.
Meanwhile, Thurston has plenty of fans cheering her on in the comments of her most recent Instagram post.
“I see you on the other side side of this stronger than ever!” one of her followers wrote.
