James Gunn is speaking out after Internet personality Trisha Paytas named her third child after DC Comics superhero Aquaman.
Gunn, who directed the Aquaman movie with Jason Momoa starring as the titular role in 2018, was at Comic-Con over the weekend when he was asked by Entertainment Tonight about the viral baby name.

The director called the name “cool,” but noted that he hopes the kid doesn’t get bullied in school.
“I hope he does okay in school, I mean I had a hard time with the last name ‘Gunn’ like Tommy Gun, BB gun, raygun, I’m like, ‘Okay, we get it.'” he said.
“Is the middle name Gary or something?” he continued, before being told the middle name was Moses and the child has two surnames. “Are they gonna call him AQ? What are they gonna call him?”
Gunn concluded, “Won’t he get made fun of in school? Do kids make fun of kids anymore?”

Gunn’s comments come shortly after a billboard of Momoa’s Aquaman with the caption, “Trisha?” was spotted by eagle-eyed fans in Los Angeles this weekend.
Along with Aquaman, Paytas is mom to daughters Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 1, with husband Moses Hacmon.
