Andy Cohen is a fan of Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson’s budding relationship.
After a source close to their new movie The Naked Gun told PEOPLE on July 29 that the costars are “in the early stages” of dating, Cohen — a close friend of Neeson’s late wife Natasha Richardson — expressed his excitement for Neeson, 73, and Anderson, 58,
“Natasha was a dear friend of mine and I’m gonna tell you something. I and all of the friends in this circle are very much stanning whatever this is,” Cohen said during his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live on Wednesday, July 30.
The host said he and Neeson — who was married to Richardson from 1994 until she died at 45 after a skiing accident in March 2009 — recently spoke about Anderson at a premiere for Naked Gun.
“As I was telling him at the premiere party, I go, ‘Liam, she is an independent woman just like Tash was. She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys,’ ” Cohen said.
Anderson has sons Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 26, with ex-husband Tommy Lee, while Neeson has two sons with Richardson, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28.
“I mean, this just works, and you know, she is a formidable human being, Pamela Anderson. She really is,” Cohen opined on his show. “What she’s been through and how she kind of reclaimed herself and redefined herself.”

Neeson portrays a Los Angeles detective named Frank Drebin Jr. in the new Naked Gun comedy reboot. Anderson plays his love interest, a woman who is convinced her brother has been murdered, sending both characters on an adventure throughout L.A. that gets ridiculous.
“It’s a budding romance in the early stages. It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” a source close to the film told PEOPLE on July 29. The source added that the pair are currently “enjoying each other’s company” as they promote the movie, which included a pretend make-out session on the Today show the same day rumors began swirling about a romance.

In October 2024, Neeson told PEOPLE he was no longer interested in dating. “No, in a word,” he said at that time, when asked if he dates. “I’m past all that.”
Anderson appeared to hint at a romance kindling with Neeson when she shared photos from The Naked Gun‘s New York City premiere on Instagram July 29 and wrote, “A beautiful evening at the NYC Naked Gun premiere … thank you to everyone who came out to laugh with us … love is in the air.”
The Naked Gun is in theaters Aug. 1.
