The book, illustrated by Vin Vogel, follows Penn and Kim’s adult nonfiction book and New York Times bestseller ADHD is Awesome: A Guide To (Mostly) Thriving with ADHD, which came out in April 2024.
Penn was diagnosed with ADHD in college. The couple, who met as newscasters and tied the knot in 2005, has continued to bring awareness to ADHD in their work as content creators, earning them a combined 2.9 million followers on TikTok and Instagram.
“As I child with ADHD, I really could have used this book,” Penn says. “I didn’t know why my brain worked so differently from everyone else. I didn’t know why my emotions were sometimes bigger and harder to control than my friends. Most importantly, I didn’t know that there are some true upsides to an ADHD brain.”

Penn told PEOPLE about living with ADHD in April 2024, “ADHD can be scary. But if you work to treat it, the good stuff is there. And it does become truly awesome. I’m living proof of that.”
Kim added of her husband, “[When I first met him] I was like, ‘I’m going to marry that man’ … all the things I was attracted to about him were because of his ADHD.”
