Bachelor In Paradise is just around the corner – and two Bachelor Nation insiders are sharing the scoop they have on the season.

Bachelor podcaster Dave Neal joined Reality Steve, who runs an eponymous spoiler site for the Bachelor franchise, to discuss what they’ve heard so far on an episode of The Rush Hour Podcast published Tuesday, June 3.

“As far as paradise goes, I heard a rumor today, I’m going to keep it vague, that someone had a horrible experience in that it was nothing like they had hoped it would be, and that it’s gonna be a pretty big s–t show of a season.” Neal said.

Reality Steve responded saying he heard “rumblings” of the show not going well, but didn’t have anything concrete. He also said he doesn’t have any spoilers for the season, which is unusual given the show wrapped filming two weeks ago.

“I usually hear like, literally, the day after filming ends,” he said. ” I would put it out there on Twitter, ‘These are the engaged couples this season, here’s who got to the end, here’s who broke up.’ I got nothing this year as of right now.”

Neal speculated that the show’s move from Sayulita, Mexico, where the previous nine season were filmed, to a new resort in Costa Rica is making spoiling the show harder, to which Steve agreed.

Reality Steve added that the show’s new setting might be controversial among fans. Though photos released by Entertainment Weekly show much nicer accommodations than years past, Steve thinks some fans will miss the original setting.

“This just looks like more of a Netflix show.” he said. “There’s nothing about that, when I looked at those pictures, that said, ‘Wow, that’s Bachelor in Paradise.'”

Both podcasters agree that season 10 is a “make or break” season for the series. After taking a pause last year, this is the first season of Bachelor In Paradise in nearly two years, the first in the new location, and the first to feature contestants from the Golden franchise.

Neal says an unidentified villain may bring enough drama to get the show off the ground.

“I’m hearing that there’s a massive villain that was a villain on a previous season,” he said. “If they can just survive being the villain, maybe it’s enough to jump start the show.”

Fans can see if the rumors true by tuning into Bachelor in Paradise starting Monday, July 7, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
