Alexander Skarsgård is among the stars to hit the red carpet in Cannes over the past few days, and he’s making sure to be noticed with an interesting leather accessory.
The True Blood actor made his way across The Phoenician Scheme red carpet at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival in a smart black tuxedo. However, his thigh-high boots took the ensemble up a notch and ensured that Skarsgård would get noticed.
It seems Skarsgård fashion statement didn’t quite land as one commenter questioned, “Now why is he in thigh high boots 😂”
Another suggested that this must be a “Humiliation ritual,” as someone else said, “He is sooo strange.”
Quite a few comments called Skarsgård out for following in Pedro Pascal‘s footsteps. After all, the Eddington star wore the same boots recently to the The Last of Us Season 2 premiere.
Pascal went for a leather-on-leather look by pairing the boots with leather pants, a blue mock turtleneck, and a Tartan plaid jacket.
Pascal was also spotted in Cannes last week in a much more casual look that received more compliments than Skarsgård’s leather look.
