The ‘Today’ family continues to show their love and support for fellow anchor Sheinelle Jones.
On Friday afternoon, after the morning announcement of the loss of Uche Ojeh, Jones’ husband of 17 years, a heartbroken Al Roker took to Instagram to reflect on his time with the 45-year-old father of three.
“I could not bring myself to write these words,” Roker started. “I knew this day was coming and yet, for someone, like our brother Uche Ojeh to be gone seems incomprehensible. But iIwill [sic] remember, his love for Sheinelle; his 3 beautiful children, his faith, his humor and his smile.”

Roker shared the kind words along with a gallery of photos of good times between the Ojeh, including formal affairs and a double date with his wife, Deborah Roberts.
Ojeh, who died of an aggressive form of brain cancer, was dad to son Kayin, 15, and 12-year-old twins, son Uche and daughter Clara.

Throughout the day, the show’s co-anchors shared support for Jones’ family, including Carson Daly who lost his dad at 5 years old.
“I think back now, 45 years later, my faith in God. I mean, God has blessed me in my life, so here I am, the young kid, and I say, eventually, God gave me two incredible fathers, incredible figures in my life, and my life has been so fulfilling, and I’m so blessed for that,” he said during the ‘Today’ broadcast. “So I pray for their family and the kids that they’ll have that fortune as well.”
