Al Pacino is known to audiences as of the most skilled actors of his generation — but among his peers, he’s famous for something else entirely.
During his recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Vince Vaughn revealed a surprising fact about Pacino (his costar in the upcoming film Easy’s Waltz).

“I love Al Pacino. I did a movie with him. He’s terrific. I have to say this, he smells fabulous,” Vaughn said.
“He smells like a high-end cologne counter in Italy. He has an incredible smell. The whole aroma is unbelievable,” the 55-year-old Swingers star continued.
As Vaughn explained, he wasn’t the only person on the movie set to notice Pacino’s pleasant scent.
“And people had noticed this, I mean, many things about him. He’s a tremendous guy. Very easy to be around. But smells matter,” he added.
“Did you tell him he smells great?” Jimmy Fallon wanted to know.
“Yes. A lot of people would be around us and tell him that he smelled fantastic,” Vaughn replied. “And then, so, the question would come up which is, you know, ‘What’s the cologne?'”
Unfortunately, Pacino was “tight-lipped” about his signature cologne.
“He’d say, ‘I have to try to remember.’ He doesn’t want to share that fabulous smell.”
“And then he’d say, ‘I’m trying to leave a legacy,”” Vauhn added. “So he was protecting his smells.”
According to Deadline, Easy’s Waltz stars Michelle Monaghan and Simon Rex in addition to Vaughn and Pacino and “follows a down-on-his-luck comedian-crooner navigating modern Las Vegas with old-school Vegas personalities.”
