Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook evoked effortless beauty during an outing in the Hamptons.
The supermodel, 71, and Sailor, 27, were the picture of elegance at the Brunello Cucinelli Hamptons Dinner at the Wölffer Estate Stables in Sagaponack, New York, on Thursday, July 31. Christie dazzled in a dark top and shorts paired with a white belt and purse and slingback heels, showing off her long legs and glowing complexion. Her model daughter, meanwhile, stunned in a white sleeveless high-neck dress with a coordinating handbag.
Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband Peter Cook, to whom she was married from 1996 to 2008. The couple conceived their daughter via in-vitro fertilization when Christie was 44.
Christie is also the mother of daughter Alexa Ray Joel, 39, with ex-husband Billy Joel and son Jack Brinkley Cook, 30, whose father is her ex-husband Richard Taubman but was adopted by Peter during their marriage.

Earlier in July, Christie celebrated Sailor’s birthday by posting side-by-side photos of her covered in paint as a child and looking over her shoulder in a model-esque pose as an adult.
“From Artist to Work of Art! (Or piece of work!),” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Happy Birthday Sailor Lee I LOVE YOU!”
When Sailor was still a teenager, she revealed in a joint interview with Christie how she ended up following in her mom’s footsteps.
“I think I first started to think about trying modeling last spring,” she told Into the Gloss in 2014. “At my school we have something called Independent Study and my mom said, ‘Hey, why don’t you do modeling?’”
Christie remembered things differently, insisting, “No, I actually didn’t say that! She was into photography, but she had never mentioned one word about any interest in modeling. She was in the back seat of the car once with a group of friends and one of them says, ‘Hey, isn’t your mom that model?’ And Sailor goes, ‘Euugh! Nooo….’”
She continued: “She didn’t have any idea of what it was I did every day! And even once she got the gist that I was going in to work to do modeling, that wasn’t even on her radar. She wasn’t interested. But then she started growing up and she was eating right, exercising and people started coming up to her saying, ‘Are you a model?’ And because she is a great photographer, she was already thinking within that context, so modeling made sense.”
