With Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds just getting started on Paramount+, filming for Season 4 has just wrapped in Toronto and news of a puppet-centric episode of SNW was announced at Comic Con over the weekend with the teaser below. Directed by Jordan Canning (Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock), the Season 4 episode will feature puppets created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
Fans in attendance at Comic Con this past weekend were treated to an advance screening of this week’s Strange New Worlds episode, “A Space Adventure Hour.” The episode, which premieres on Thursday, July 31 on Paramount+ will also be available to stream for free on multiple platforms for a limited time. In “Shuttle to Kenfori,” last week’s episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Pike (Anson Mount) and M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) attempted to find a cure for Marie as they travel to Klingon space, where M’Benga’s past resurfaces on a dangerous planet.
What happens in this week’s episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds?
In “A Space Adventure Hour,” La’An (Christina Chong) is tasked with testing a prototype holodeck with a fictional case only she can solve, but things start to go awry when the simulation becomes all too real. The episode was directed by Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Jonathan Frakes. And it’s quite fitting, as “A Space Adventure Hour” is reminiscent of the “Elementary, Dear Data” episode from TNG.
