Netflix’s You is back. The thriller returned to our screens on Thursday, April 24 with 10 brand new episodes. As well as the lead character, Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley), there were some new faces, including Anna Camp, who plays Kate Lockwood’s twin-half sisters Reagan and Maddie.
Orange Is the New Black’s Madeline Brewer also made her You debut in the new episodes, and is a big part of the fifth and final season, which sees Joe returning to New York City, 10 times richer–thanks to his marriage to Lockwood Corporations CEO Kate.

The Goldbergs
Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg
Who is Joe Goldberg? Protagonist Joe is back in his hometown, but it’s not long before he returns to his evil ways.
“In the beginning of season 5, he has accepted those dark part of himself,” Badgley told Tudum. “But Joe has also quickly learned that Kate couldn’t (or wouldn’t) accept him—as much as it seemed like she would at the end of season 4. Joe has withheld a lot of key bits of truth.”
What else has Penn Badgley been in? Viewers will recognize Badgley from Gossip Girl, in which he played Dan Humphrey.
Frankie DeMaio as Henry Goldberg
Who is Frankie DeMaio? Back in season 3, Joe and his wife-at-the-time, Love Quinn (who is now deceased), welcomed their son, Henry. In a bid to find Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) in Europe, Joe left Henry with his neighbor. For season 5, Henry is back with Joe and is attending a private school in Manhattan thanks to his new stepmother.
Co-showrunner Michael Foley said: “Joe loves this current life so much that he’s willing to resist any impulses that might rock the boat and threaten the life that he’s made for himself. Most importantly, we’re really keying in on the life that Joe’s providing for Henry.”

The Lockwoods
Charlotte Ritchie as Kate Lockwood
Who is Kate Lockwood? Now the CEO of the Lockwood Corporation following the passing of her father Tom Lockwood (Greg Kinnear), Kate is determined to do something different.
“We’re seeing her in a new context. She has to deal with old family dynamics and see if she can change them,” Ritchie said. “This whole season is about redemption and change for Kate, and whether that’s possible.”
What else has Charlotte Ritchie been? Ritchie is best known for her roles as Alison Cooper in Ghosts, Oregon in Fresh Meat, and Barbara Gilbert in the BBC’s Call the Midwife.
Griffin Matthews as Teddy
Who is Teddy? While the Lockwood fam is constantly battling for control at Lockwood corporation, Kate does appear to have one person on her side with half-brother Teddy.
“He is street smart. We talked a lot about Teddy being from Harlem and being a different type of calculating than the Lockwoods and Joe,” Matthews said of the character.
What else has Griffin Matthews been in? Matthews has appeared in The Flight Attendant, Dear White People and Your Place or Mine on Netflix.
Anna Camp as Reagan Lockwood-Jacobs
Who is Reagan Lockwood- Jacobs? Reagan Lockwood-Jacobs is one of Kate’s twin-half sisters. She’s not a fan of Kate being in charge at Lockwood Corporations, feeling as though the role should have been hers instead.
“At the end of the day, Reagan has decided that she’s going to literally do whatever it takes to get it,” Camp explained.
What else has Anna Camp been in? Camp is best known for starring in all three Pitch Perfect movies, as well as Hysteria! and Desperados.
Anna Camp as Maddie Lockwood
Who is Maddie Lockwood? Camp also plays Maddie Lockwood, Kate’s other twin-half sister. Unlike Reagan, Maddie hasn’t quite figured out what she wants in life and is often put down by her twin.
“There’s a lot of tension there and competition between the two of them,” Camp explained.
But, while she might appear harmless, the Lockwood blood still runs through Maddie’s, veins and she’s not to be underestimated.
Pete Ploszek as Harrison Jacobs
Who is Harrison Jacobs? Harrison Jacobs is Reagan’s husband, father to their daughter Gretchen and appears to be most palatable member of the Lockwood clan.
What else has Pete Ploszek been in? Ploszek is best known for playing Leonardo in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films. He also starred in Babylon, Captain Marvel, and Teen Wolf.
Michael Dempsey as Buffalo Bob Cain
Who is Buffalo Bob Cain? Following Tom Lockwood’s passing, uncle Buffalo Bob—who earned his nicknamed for his cowboy behavior—has taken on a more active role in the family, acting as a mentor and support system to Kate.
What else has Michael Dempsey been in? Dempsey has starred in Barry, Mayans M.C., All Rise and Pearson.

Madeline Brewer as Bronte
Who is Bronte? Bronte is a new employee at Mooney’s Bookstore and what appears to be Joe’s new interest. “She likes romance novels, fairy smut, and internet sleuthing. That’s Bronte,” Brewer said of her character.
What else has Madeline Brewer been in? Brewer made her TV debut as Tricia Miller in Orange Is the New Black and is currently starring in The Handmaid’s Tale, in which she plays Janine Lindo.
Tom Francis as Clayton
Who is Clayton? Clayton and Bronte have quite a controversial relationship, according to Brewer. “Bronte fills Joe in on some of that story—how she moved to New York, was with Clayton, and he really took care of her, then pulled the rug out from under her when she decided they wouldn’t be sleeping together anymore,” Brewer explained. “Such an asshole.”
What else has Tom Francis been in? You is Francis’ first major film credit. He’s currently starring in Sunset Boulevard on Broadway.
Michelle Hurd as Dr. Val
Who is Dr. Val? Dr. Val is a resident psychologist at Henry’s school, and of course, Joe isn’t a fan. Will he let his dislike get the better of him?
What else has Michelle Hurd been in? Michelle Hurd is best known for playing Monique Jeffries in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also appeared in a few episodes of Gossip Girl alongside Badgley.
Natasha Behnam as Dominique
Who is Dominique? Dominique is one of the many new people that Joe meets when he steps outside of the insulated world of elite Manhattan. She may give off a cool, distant vibe, but underneath, she’s driven by an unwavering loyalty to those she holds close.

Who is Guinevere Beck? Unless you skipped season 1, you know that Guinevere Beck, aka Beck, is Joe’s first (on-screen) victim from the very first season. A young writer and student, she was a romantic who fell for Joe and paid the ultimate price. She appeared in season 5 via flashbacks after it was revealed that she was actually Bronte’s college mentor.
What else has Elizabeth Lail been in? Since her 2018 breakout in You, Elizabeth has continued to appear on various television shows. She had a recurring role on the short-lived Gossip Girl reboot and has appeared in Robot Chicken and Elsbeth. She also appeared in the hit horror film, Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Tati Gabriel as Marienne Bellamy
Who is Marienne Bellamy? Marienne Bellamy first appeared in You season 3 as the object of Joe’s affection. She worked with Joe at the local library and was ready to run away with him and her daughter when she realized that Joe was dangerous and fled instead, disappearing in Paris. She reappeared in season 4, when Joe caught up with her, kidnapped her, and nearly killed her.
What else has Tati Gabriel been in? Tati Gabriel’s got her big break playing Prudence Night in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and she currently has a recurring role on HBO’s The Last of Us.
Amy-Leigh Hickman as Nadia
Who is Nadia? Nadia was one of Joe’s students in season 4, when he was teaching at a university in London under the name Jonathan Moore. Smart and talented, Nadia first bonded with Joe as a student before she started to suspect that he was the Eat the Rich killer. Unfortunately, she ended the season being framed for murder by Joe (with Kate’s help).
What else has Amy-Leigh Hickman been in? Amy-Leigh Hickman is a British actor who recently starred in the sitcom series Ruby Speaking. According to her Instagram, fans can also catch her on stage!
Tilly Keeper as Lady Phoebe
Who is Lady Phoebe? Lady Phoebe is part of London’s social elite and was one of only a handful of Kate’s friends to make it out of season 4 alive.
What else has Tilly Keeper been in? Other than You, fans might recognize Tilly from her four years on East Enders. She also recently appeared in the Onyx and Hulu show Queenie.
Saffron Burrows as Dottie Quinn
Who is Dottie Quinn? Love’s mother, Dottie Quinn first appeared in You season 2 and was also a recurring character in season 3. In the final season, she showed up to accuse Joe of being responsible for the deaths of her two kids, Forty and Love.
What else has Saffron Burrows been in? Saffron Burrows 30+ year career includes roles in Frida, Troy, and Westworld.
Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle as Sherry and Cary Conrad
Who are Sherry and Cary Conrad? Sherry and Cary ran the suburb where Love and Joe settled down in season 3. After a particularly trying night of attempted swinging, Love locked Sherry and Cary in Joe’s cage. They survived and created an entire self-help book about the surprising benefits of their capture.

Shalita Grant is best known for playing Cassidy on Search Party, but she’s also appeared in Santa Clarita Diet, NCIS: New Orleans, and recently had a guest stint on Abbott Elementary. Luca Padovan as Paco
Who is Paco? Paco was Joe’s neighbor way back in season 1. Seeing himself in Paco, Joe encouraged Paco to read, lent him books, and eventually killed his mother’s abusive boyfriend. In the season 1 finale, Paco, then still a small child, didn’t answer Beck’s call to help her escape Joe, thus allowing her to die.
What else has Luca Padovan been in? Luca most recently appeared in Netflix’s The Life List and previously starred in Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid of the Dark? reboot.
Zach Cherry as Ethan
Who is Ethan? Ethan was Joe’s former co-worker at Mooney’s. He was blissfully unaware of Joe’s stalking and serial killer activities and survived to tell the tale.
What else has Zach Cherry been in? Zach has appeared in Fallout, Succession, and had a bit part in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, but you probably recognize him from Severance.
Kathryn Gallagher as Anika
Who is Anika? Anika was one of Beck’s close friends in season 1. She was arguably the most down-to-earth of Beck’s friend group, which probably helped her escape Joe’s wrath in season 1. Now, she’s back in season 5 to try to get justice for her other best friend, Peach.
What else has Kathryn Gallagher been in? Post-You, Kathryn has appeared in a recurring role in the Gossip Girl reboot and in Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut Woman of the Hour. She is currently starring in All Nighter on Broadway.
Robin Lord Taylor as Will
Who is Will? Will first crossed paths with Joe in season 2, and while he was originally supposed to be another one of Joe’s victims, he managed to charm Joe into letting him go free. Ever since Joe helped him fake his death, Will has been living in the Philippines, but he’s always on call when Joe needs some computer hacking assistance.
What else has Robin Lord Taylor been in? Before Colin Farrell touched the role, Robin Lord Taylor starred as the Penguin in Gotham. He most recently appeared in The Ballad of a Hustler.
