Miley Cyrus isn’t afraid to show some skin.
On Tuesday, May 27, the pop star took to Instagram to tease what’s to come from her forthcoming visual album, Something Beautiful.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Cyrus does a fitting for a look that will be featured in the album’s accompanying film. The “Flowers” singer wears a revealing look that placed her entire backside on display. The outfit consisted of turquoise blue fringe sequined chaps belted over a pair of simple black leather hot pants.

Cyrus paired the butt-baring chaps with a matching bra made entirely of turquoise stones. The bra featured clusters of the stone to cover up her chest, but added a fun flair with the addition of dangling stones that hung off of the cups of the bra.

The 32-year-old couldn’t help but gush over her incredible outfit. “This is every fantasy,” she says in the video before preparing to do a little dance as a smile spreads across her face.

“Easy Lover out May 30th with Something Beautiful the album,” she captioned the video.
Cyrus’ chaps outfit is a piece of fashion history. The look is from the archives of Thierry Mugler’s spring 1992 ready to wear collection, which walked down the runway in 1991 and makes the outfit older than Cyrus.

On the runway, model Yasmeel Ghauri wore the exact look in Cyrus’ video, but with a few changes. Ghauri’s version of the outfit featured a black high-waisted panty. Instead of wearing just the bra, Ghauri’s runway look also included a loose black jacket with studded satin lapels and cufflinks and shiny black leather gloves.

Cyrus and her stylist, Bradley Kenneth, worked together to pull looks from fashion history for Something Beautiful. In addition to multiple Mugler looks, the album also features designer pieces from Bob Mackie and Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenneth told Vogue in a March interview.

“We pulled from designers who’ve been part of Miley’s style story throughout the decade I’ve been working closely with her,” he said. “Whether it’s Mackie’s drama or Mugler’s powerful silhouettes, these influences have always been there, just evolving with her.”
Kenneth added, “We actually hold the record for the largest collection of Mugler archives ever sent to a single individual, which is still surreal to say.”
