Gloomy city weather didn’t keep the Dawson’s Creek star from serving yesterday. She stepped out onto the streets of Manhattan in an outfit that was statement-making from top to bottom. First up was her flowy, semi-sheer white blouse that featured an airy silhouette, bubble sleeves, and an optical illusion print of black strokes. Was it an art history lover’s nod to impressionism? Was it meant to mimic feathers or hair? Who’s to say?

What we do know is she oozed cool in the creation, which she layered over a white bralette and paired with a celebrity-loved, polarizing pant style: cargo pants. Holmes’s iteration featured a built in belt with a silver buckle, huge square pockets, a floor-grazing length, and a wide-leg cut, all in a navy-blue hue. She paired the daring pieces with black, shiny, pointed-toe pumps for a touch of glam, along with a gold chain necklace and diamond drop earrings.
As for beauty, the mom-of-one styled her chestnut-colored locks up in a sleek high ponytail and glammed up with bronzy makeup, complete with sun-kissed cheeks, dark pencil eyeliner, and a berry-pink lip.

When it comes to fashion, Holmes sure has the range. Last month, she strolled through NYC in an outfit that was very working mom on the go. She donned a crisp-white suit, composed of a boxy blazer and wide-leg pants, layered over an oversize blue-and-white stripe button-down shirt. She opted for an unexpected shoe choice, via sandals with a wide toe strap, and accessorized with a black leather tote bag and aviator sunglasses.
The actress let her hair down, blowing in the wind, and appeared to round everything off with minimal makeup.
