Jordan Chiles had a very special companion with her while shooting her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover.
At the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party on Thursday, May 15, the gymnast, 24, revealed that her older sister Jazmin did her hair for the shoot.
“She has been a part of my life, obviously, for a very long time, and I brought her on as one of my [hair and makeup artists] and she travels with me everywhere I go,” Jordan told PEOPLE at the New York City event.
The athlete continued, “Not only is she an inspiration and an idol, but her beauty is immaculate, and so she definitely gives me the motivation to embrace myself. So, it was really fun to have her on the shoot and bring everything together.”
Jazmin, who accompanied her sister at the launch party, also did Jordan’s makeup for the Sports Illustrated party. The sister duo posed together on the red carpet. Jordan wore a black Stella McCartney gown with a daringly high slit and ab-bearing cutout. Her hair was slicked back and she sported a smoky makeup look. Jazmin opted for a red mini dress and black platform heels.
Per her salon’s website, Jazmin, who was born in August 1993, graduated from Paul Mitchell the School of Portland and has been doing people’s hair since she was a child. In addition to traveling with her sister as her hairstylist and makeup artist, she opened her own salon, Hair Goals by Jazmin Dominique, in 2020.

The gymnast previously told PEOPLE that she was “in awe” after seeing the cover.
“My mom actually cried a few times from some of the photos because she’s been there literally every single moment of my life, so I think it was more of her realizing how beautiful her daughter is and what I’ve gone through,” she shared.

“I’ve embraced every single aspect of who I am and I’ve embraced the amazing body that I have,” the Olympian continued. “Because she was there when I would cry and be like, ‘Mom, they’re saying this. They’re saying that.’ Or I would look at myself in the mirror and call myself ugly almost every day. I think it was just really cool for her to know that I get this opportunity and that I get the ability to embrace who Jordan is.”
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit will be on newsstands on May 17.
