Sonic is finally bringing two of its most-requested slushes back to menus, but only for a limited time.
On Monday, the fast food chain revealed it saw the petition from fans begging for the return of its Watermelon Slush and decided to oblige with the return of the cool and fruity favorite.
Described as a “burst of juicy, sweet watermelon flavor blended into a classic SONIC Slush,” it was last seen on menus in 2019 but will return for a limited time this summer with prices starting at $2.79 for a medium, per a press release.

But as if that wasn’t enough, its Lemonberry Slush—which hasn’t been offered since 2020—is also making a comeback with real strawberries and a squeeze of real lemon; a medium starts at $3.29 (prices may vary by location).
Sonic is also adding Cheesy Garlic Pepperoni Bites to its menus as a new item for snackers in need of a savory treat, which it said offers “a crave-worthy combo of melty mozzarella and provolone cheese, savory pepperoni and zesty pizza sauce, wrapped in a crispy, golden-brown shell.”
The only downside? Fans will have to wait until next Tuesday, May 27, for the Watermelon and Lemonberry Slush to officially re-release in the Sonic app, with the nationwide debut of the slushes and new Cheesy Garlic Pepperoni Bites slated for Monday, June 2.
That said, beginning today, Sonic Shakes will be half-price after 5 p.m. local time for a limited time, and its magical Unicorn Dreams Slush will be on menus through June.
