Christina Hendricks has been in a nostalgic mood lately.
A day before she took in some of her favorite ‘80s and ‘90s bands at the Cruel World festival in Pasadena, she reflected on the 10th anniversary of the finale of Mad Men, the television show that made her a star, in a lengthy Instagram post that included a carousel of photos related to the iconic series.

“Thank you to all who shared these photos today. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since we wrapped this beautiful show. It seems to live on and gain new fans and continue to inspire and influence,” she wrote in a post on May 17.
“I miss Joan. I miss getting those perfect scripts every week and tearing into them to see what I would get to do, what Joan would say, where these characters were slowly moving towards. I miss the extreme dedication and professionalism from every department, the pride, the passion. I miss the feeling that we were all working towards something artful and meaningful and not thinking about numbers and dollars. I miss walking on set, the mood changing, and everyone turning all of their attention on making something beautiful. #madmen,” she added.

The red-headed bombshell wasn’t the only one sharing love for the series, with some fans in the comments of her post calling for a sequel to the classic drama about the advertising world in the 1960s.
“I dream of seeing the sequel. It’s not just a show, it’s a masterpiece, it’s real life. I’m in love with every image of this series. The end of the series made me very sad, but I’m sure that all the characters have found themselves in life. I love you!” wrote one fan.
“Must be time for the 1980s. Can’t we check back in??? Could be a movie length special,” added another.
Others, however, were just happy to have the series as it was and are enjoying repeat viewings.
“Such a brilliant show with casting perfection! Makes me wanna watch it again for the third time through,” wrote one fan.
“I’m watching it again for maybe the 8th time. It’s my most favourite show of all time and love Joan-especially when she tossed Greg out and told him she was tired of making him feel like a good man,” added another.
