  • Lo Bosworth revealed that she underwent surgery for endometriosis only weeks after her fiancé Dom Natale had a double-jaw surgery

  • She reflected on her recovery and experience while attending the 13th Annual Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball on Thursday, May 15

  • The former reality TV star previously opened up about her diagnosis in March 2025, months after she and Natale confirmed their engagement

Lo Bosworth is opening up about her health after undergoing surgery to treat endometriosis — just as her fiancé was recovering from a surgery of his own.

The 38-year-old alum of The Hills and Laguna Beach stepped out on Thursday, May 15 to attend the 13th Annual Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball at The Pierre in New York City.

Bosworth had opened up about having endometriosis in a post on Instagram back in March. In the accompanying caption, she revealed that her diagnosis had been confirmed after she underwent laparoscopic surgery.

Endometriosis “is a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus,” according to the World Health Organization. The organization estimated that approximately 190 million women have the disease worldwide.

While attending the Blossom Ball, Bosworth described her surgery and diagnosis as “really tough.”

She also revealed how the challenging process brought her even closer to her love, Dom Natale.

“It was a bigger surgery and a more complex recovery than I anticipated,” Bosworth admitted to PEOPLE, adding, “I felt really isolated and lonely throughout my recovery. I had my fiancé taking care of me, but I hadn’t really told many people beyond just my immediate circle.”

Bosworth’s procedure took place only eight weeks after Natale underwent double-jaw surgery. However, there was a surprising side effect of the recurrent surgeries.

“We really formed such a strong unit. We’ve been through a lot, but he’s the best. I couldn’t ask for a better partner,” she said.

The former reality star announced her engagement to Natale in January 2025. “For you, my darling, it could only be a ‘yes.’ Thank you for being the best that one could be, for me. All my love, L,” she wrote in a post on Instagram when she shared her exciting news.

While attending the Blossom Ball on May 15, she shared that wedding planning is going “really good,” adding, “We’re just going to do something small with our families.”

Bosworth said that sharing her diagnosis with the world helped her realize that there was “such a significant endo community” out there.

“It took about a decade from first experiencing symptoms to finally undergoing laparoscopic surgery to confirm a diagnosis,” she revealed in her March post on Instagram.

She said that the surgery “humbled” her, adding “the recovery much longer and more painful than I anticipated.”

“How I’ve felt through it all? Grateful. Confused. Overwhelmed. Relieved. Validated. Scared. And … now recovering!”

The Blossom Ball is the signature fundraiser for the Endometriosis Foundation of America, supporting essential programs in education, awareness, advocacy and research for endometriosis.
