Tom Brady’s appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast earlier this month revealed a more vulnerable side of the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

Opening up about the “regrets” he has from his 2024 Netflix comedy roast, Brady, 47, reflected on the impact the roast had on his children. He shared, “It was tough on my kids for sure,” particularly regarding the jokes aimed at him and his exes.

His kids, John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 17, with ex Bridget Moynahan, and Benjamin Rein, 15, and Vivian Lake, 12, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, found the public humor “really hard,” something that Brady admits was difficult for him to witness as a parent.

Despite these regrets, Brady has continued to move forward in his career, stepping into new ventures that align with his constantly forward-moving mindset. One such venture includes his involvement with Colossal Biosciences, a company at the cutting edge of science, particularly in the area of de-extinction of animals.

The company has gained significant attention for its efforts to bring extinct species, like the woolly mammoth and dire wolf, back to life, and Brady is among a group of high-profile investors that also includes other celebs like Paris Hilton, Tiger Woods, and Chris Hemsworth.

Co-founded by tech entrepreneur Ben Lamm and geneticist Dr. George Church, Colossal recently made headlines with the birth of the first-ever dire wolf pups in over 10,000 years. The achievement has further elevated the company’s mission, which extends beyond just resurrecting ancient species. They’re committed to inspiring the next generation of innovators through educational initiatives, such as partnerships with Conservation Nation and animated series like De-extincting Tassie.

Perhaps Colossal’s de-extinction work can inspire Brady’s children along the way, as well.
