Forever and The Four Seasons were among the new shows to score season 2 renewals
There will be even more to love about Netflix in the coming seasons.
On Wednesday, May 14, the streamer made a heap of major announcements about renewals of some of its most beloved shows, from Bridgerton to Love on the Spectrum, and some sneaky hits scored early renewals, too.
Bridgerton season 4, which sees Benedict (Luke Thompson) take the lead as he finds love at a masquerade ball with Sophie (Yerin Ha), will premiere in 2026, the streamer announced, and the Shonda Rhimes series has been renewed for seasons 5 and 6 too.
A year and a half after the premiere of My Life with the Walter Boys (and amid a continued wait for season 2), Netflix has picked up the series, which is based on Ali Novak’s book of the same name, early for a third season.
The streamer also confirmed that season 2 will premiere later this year — production wrapped in November and star Nikki Rodriguez teased that Jackie will be “trying to figure out where she belongs” as she navigates a love triangle with brothers Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) — and season 3 will premiere in 2026.

Tina Fey’s adaptation of The Four Seasons will also be returning for a second season, picking up after that dramatic season 1 cliffhanger left her friend group reeling, and there will be more matchmaking to come, too, as Love on the Spectrum returns for season 4.
The Diplomat will return for a fourth season, too, and season 3 will premiere this fall. Showrunner Debora Cahn told Tudum that Keri Russell’s character Kate “lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want” in season 3, which sees Bradley Whitford join the cast.

Forever, which premiered on the streamer just last week, also scored a renewal for season 2, which means fans will see how the love story between Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.) and Keisha (Lovie Simone) unfolds once they go to college in a continuation of the Mara Brock Akil series.
“This show was never just about first love — it was about being seen, about letting teenagers be soft, complicated, and real,” Akil told Tudum. “And the world showed up for that.”

Survival of the Thickest will also be coming back for a third and final season, and Michelle Buteau told Tudum “the sky’s the limit” for Mavis in this upcoming chapter, which she promised will be “lived in, lived out loud, we’ll tie up and let it loose, honey!”

Along with a host of renewal announcements, Netflix also revealed the first look at season 4 of Bridgerton on May 14.
In the clip, a highly sought-after Benedict walks through his mother’s masquerade party and is inundated with requests for his attention. But once he lays eyes on Sophie for the first time, she steals his attention instantly — yet, he’s not the only one. Another gentleman comes up from behind Sophie and asks for her hand in a dance, leaving Benedict bereft and definitely wanting more.
