Beyoncé is back on the road for her Cowboy Carter Tour, and as we study her set list and gather our group chats to coordinate matching western-inspired looks, she’s already raked in millions.
The Grammy winner sold out five nights at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, and the numbers are in. Beyoncé made $55.7 million and sold 217,000 tickets for her first few shows on the Cowboy Carter Tour, per Billboard Pro.
She also broke records and became the artist who has played the most shows in SoFi Stadium’s history. The outlet also reported that the Cowboy Carter Tour is the highest-grossing reported single-venue engagement ever by a woman. To which we say: Duh, it’s Beyoncé.
Amid reports that she’s struggling to sell tickets for her stadium tour (ahem, rude), an insider told the Daily Mail that resellers were largely to blame for “limited attendance.” The source also dished that Bey and her husband, Jay-Z, stayed “hopeful” as they were “expecting more of her fans to buy tickets today and in the coming days if resale gets cheaper.”
Per a separate report from The Independent, there were more than 3,000 seats available at SoFi Stadium the week before her slew of shows, and TicketMaster’s seat maps showed “huge numbers” of seats.
As she gears up to take the stage at Chicago’s Soldier Field this week, Billboard estimates that the “Texas Hold ’Em” singer’s tour will rake in $3o0 million by the end of the year.
She sang “Big B and that B stands for bands” for a reason, people!
