Marlo Thomas was out and about for a special evening in New York City on Monday night.
The former sitcom star, known for her iconic role in the ’60s sitcom That Girl, stepped out for a rare red carpet appearance on Monday, May 12, while attending Family Equality’s Night at the Pier, where she got up on stage to address the event’s attendees.
Thomas, 87, looked pretty in pink for the fancy event, showing up in a soft blush pink floor-length gown that featured a plunging neckline, puff sleeves and black bow detailing that draped over her shoulders.
The Emmy-winning actress accessorized her look with more black accents, including a small pouch purse and a pair of pointed black heels. She also added some simple jewelry, including a pearl beaded bracelet and a dainty heart pendant necklace.
Thomas is known and loved by fans for her role as Ann Marie in the hit sitcom That Girl, which aired from 1965 to 1971. She also has notably played the mother of Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) on Friends, and is also known for her extensive work for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thomas has been noticeably quiet over the past several months, following the death of her longtime husband, daytime TV star Phil Donahue in August 2024. She posted about Donahue’s death on Instagram at the time, revealing that she would be “stepping away” from social media to process her profound loss.
