Katy Perry is feeling the love from her fans, regardless of what the haters have to say.

The “Teenage Dream” singer has received no shortage of backlash in recent weeks, especially after participating in the Blue Origin flight into space last month. The internet has also been rife with criticism of her latest tour, The Lifetimes Tour, which also kicked off in April.

Perry, 40, appeared to address all of the negative attention during a recent concert in Chicago, where she admitted to the crowd that she thought she was “the most hated person on the internet.”

But after hearing thousands of her fans cheering for her at the show, Perry realized she was wrong.

“Well, I thought I was the most hated person on the internet. I think that’s false,” the Firework songstress could be heard saying in a fan-captured clip. The video showed Perry looking awestruck to hear all of the applause, which went on for a while before she interrupted the cheers to address the crowd.

“girl the internet is not real life,” one of Perry’s fans wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while another user said, “I see a full stadium and cheers…”

“That is QUEEN behavior,” someone else added.
