Great American Family actress Candace Cameron Bure dropped a little teaser for her fans in her latest Instagram stories, filmed over Mother’s Day weekend. She just left home to start filming her next project!
“I actually celebrated Mother’s Day early with my family, because I’m not at home. I’m about to start a movie tomorrow, so I’m away,” said Cameron Bure. But she was mum on any further details.
For Mother’s Day 2025, Cameron Bure posted a rare family photo on Instagram that featured all three of her children — Natasha, 26, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23 — plus her daughter-in-law Elliott Bure, who is married to Lev, and Bradley Perry, who is Natasha’s boyfriend.
But what new project has she jetted off to start filming on Monday, May 12?
The last project she filmed was a Christmas movie for Great American Family that stars not only the Fuller House actress but also her daughter, Natasha. Their film is titled Timeless Tidings of Joy and it stars Cameron Bure as Ally, a woman who inherits her grandmother Joy’s (Natasha) shop called Timeless Tidings, which Joy opened in the 1940s to “sell her handmade letter-press tidings.”
So Natasha actually plays her mom’s grandmother, though obviously only in flashbacks to the 1940s.
The description continues, “The shop was a labor of love, service, and sacrifice throughout the decades for Joy. Ally always saw Joy’s sacrifices for the shop as a burden on Joy’s life and happiness. When Ally returns to the shop to prepare it for sale, she meets Bennett (Greene), an old soul, who wants to preserve her Grandma Joy’s legacy. As Ally and Bennett navigate the next steps, divine intervention forces them both to take a new, or rather old, look at the fate of the shop and themselves.”
We don’t know if Cameron Bure’s newest project is a Great American Family film or not. She is the Great American Family Chief Creative Officer since she left Hallmark for GAF, so that would make sense, but Cameron Bure does do other projects besides GAF films.
In 2024, she starred in Unsung Hero, which is the origin story of “two of the most successful acts in Inspirational Music history: five-time Grammy Award-winning artists For King & Country and Rebecca St. James.”
Cameron Bure recently asked her fans for help voting for Unsung Hero for a K-LOVE Award, which is a fanfest held in late May that celebrates “faith, music, and fan connection—bringing together the biggest names in Christian entertainment for a weekend of unforgettable moments.”
