David Draiman is engaged — and his proposal was nothing short of epic!
The Disturbed frontman, 52, proposed to girlfriend, Miami-based model Sarah Uli, onstage, surprising her with the sweet gesture during one of the heavy metal rockers’ recent shows at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., on May 9.
At one point during the concert — part of Disturbed’s tour honoring the 25th anniversary of their debut album The Sickness — Draiman switched things up, pausing to check in with fans before inviting his girlfriend to join him in front of the crowd.
“At this time, I would like to call Miss Sarah Uli to the stage, please,” the singer said, the crowd cheering as the model made her way to the stage.
“Everyone say hello to my lovely lady Sarah,” he continued, to more cheering. “And she’s looking at me and she’s wondering, ‘What the f— is he doing?’ ”
Draiman went on to address Uli directly. “Sarah, my love, you have made my life so much better,” he said. “You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…”
At this point, the Disturbed frontman paused to reach into his pocket and Uli covered her face, seemingly in shock. The crowd, meanwhile, went nuts.
The rocker then got on one knee, microphone in one hand and a ring box in the other, and asked, “Sarah Uli, will you marry me?” And the model accepted, seemingly wiping a tear from her eye.
The couple, who went public with their romance in early 2024, then shared a smooch and Draiman turned to the crowd and said, “In case you didn’t hear, she said, ‘Yes.’ ”
Draiman shared footage of the proposal on Instagram on May 10. “We’re engaged!!! ❤️❤️❤️,” he captioned the post.
The newly engaged couple also shared the news — and some snaps of the onstage proposal — in a joint Instagram post on May 10.
“The happiest moment ever with the love of my life 💕 💍,” Uli wrote in the caption. “We are engaged!!!!”
In the comments of both posts, Draiman received well wishes from friends and fellow musicians, including Disturbed bass player John Moyer, who commented, “What a great moment. Congratulations!”

The engaged couple has been dating for over a year, and first went public with their romance in early 2024. Since then, they have both featured each other frequently on their Instagram accounts, and posted several loving tributes.
“She completes me. ❤️My goddess 🙌🏻,” the Disturbed frontman wrote of Uli in January 2024.
“I fall in love with this man more and more every day 💕,” she wrote of the musician last October.
Draiman was previously married to model-actress Lena Yada, with whom he shares son Samuel Bear Isamu Draiman, 11. The stars, who first tied the knot in September 2011, divorced in 2023.
