Hall broke his silence on the divorce in a social media post on Mother’s Day, thanking his mom for making him into an “unbreakable man”
Josh Hall is breaking his silence after his divorce from ex Christina Haack was finalized earlier this month.
The Tennessee-based real estate professional, 44, penned a message for his mom on Mother’s Day beside a photo of the pair smiling next to each other. In the May 11 Instagram, Hall praises his mom for helping him become an “unbreakable man.”
“Happy Mother’s Day to this woman. I’ll forever cherish my upbringing, the continued support and love you give me each and every day,” he writes in the caption.
“Without you, I wouldn’t be the unbreakable man I am. Thank you for all you do,” he concludes, followed by a red heart emoji.
Hall’s post comes more than a week after PEOPLE reported the exes had settled their divorce nearly ten months after their highly publicized split in July 2024.
“Christina is pleased to confirm that a settlement has been reached through mediation,” a representative for Haack told PEOPLE on May 2. “She extends her sincere appreciation to her attorney, Laura Wasser, and her team for their professional guidance and support throughout the process.”
Hall has faced a handful of personal difficulties over the years. Before pursuing a career in real estate, he was formerly a police officer in California for 16 years, but retired after an injury. He was also divorced once before meeting Haack. In August 2016 he wed a woman named Chelsea, his sister Jessica Hall revealed. It’s unclear when that marriage came to an end.
Following their divorce settlement, Haack took to her Instagram Stories to share more praise for her legal team and express her gratitude that her third marriage had finally come to a formal end.
“You are all a true class act. I loved watching you in action and how you handle everything and everyone with class and grace,” she wrote in her social media post. “I appreciate you all beyond words. I have learned so much under your guidance.”
“And I’m grateful to have this behind me,” she added. “I can’t wait to move on with my life and focus on what’s ahead and all my blessings.”
A representative for Hall declined to comment on the settlement at the time.

Hall filed for divorce from Haack in July 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing their date of separation as July 8. He also requested spousal support, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time.
The now-exes first started dating in March 2021 and got engaged in September that same year. While news of their marriage became public in April 2022, Josh’s divorce filing confirmed the pair had secretly wed six months earlier, in October 2021.

Christina Haack with her new boyfriend Christopher Larocca
Both Haack and Hall have moved on with new relationships since their split last summer. PEOPLE confirmed on Jan. 11 that Christina was in a new relationship with businessman Christopher Larocca. On the same day, it was revealed that Josh was also dating someone new, model Stephanie Gabrys.
At the end of April, Haack denied cheating allegations made by her new boyfriend’s ex, Andrea Deanna, who questioned the timeline of their romance in an interview with the Daily Mail. Deanna claimed she was still dating Larocca when he met Haack at the end of June 2024, and while the HGTV star was still married to Hall.
In response to these claims, a representative for Haack told PEOPLE: “This person continues to make false allegations and spread lies. Christina was separated when she met Chris.”
