No one can roast you quite like your significant other and Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are constantly giving us #couplegoals inspiration. Brad’s latest Instagram Reel just delivered the perfect, loving roast in response to the exciting news that his talented wife has been cast in the upcoming drama series, 9-1-1: Nashville.

With his trademark comedic flair, Brad took to Instagram this week to share his “concerns” now that Kimberly is set to join the world of on-screen first responders. Looking straight at the camera in a playful Reel, he deadpanned, “Great. Now when I call 911 here it’ll be ‘oh grow up, you’re fine.'” His mock indignation was pure comedic gold and the kind of gentle ribbing that makes their relationship so relatable.

This hilarious “warning” comes as Kimberly, beloved for her roles in Father of the Bride and numerous other film and TV projects, prepares to dive into a sure-to-be-gripping role in the Music City-set 9-1-1: Nashville. Williams-Paisley will star alongside cast members LeAnn Rimes, Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw. While details about her character are still emerging, her husband’s reaction already has us smiling.

Brad’s playful jab is exactly the kind of supportive humor fans have come to love from the duo, who have been married since 2003. It’s clear that underneath the teasing, there’s a whole lot of pride for Kimberly’s new adventure.

Williams-Paisley has spoken about the couple’s humor before, with an Instagram post about a song her husband dedicated to her from the stage.

“Williams-Paisley has spoken about the couple’s humorous banter, writing in a 2024 Instagram post, “Brad thanked me from the stage last night and then sang the Toilet Seat Song from our wedding,” she began the post. Her husband performed the song, titled “Ode de Toilette” from the stage, but life took Williams-Paisley in another direction. “Ironically, I missed the shout out cuz I was visiting the toilet myself backstage. Lo and behold, when I’d walked in, the toilet seat was… not down.”

So, while Brad might be playfully predicting a tougher time getting sympathy during any future “emergencies” at home, his post is a sweet testament to their enduring, fun-filled partnership. We can’t wait to see Kimberly shine in 9-1-1: Nashville, and we’re definitely keeping an eye on Brad’s Instagram for more #couplegoals commentary!
