On May 8, country music star Lauren Alaina shared an emotional Instagram Reel about missing to Academy of Country Music Awards.
“First of all, I just want to say, I’m at home watching the ACMs and I’m so proud of everyone tonight, everyone that’s performed, everyone that’s won. Like, I get so excited for everyone because I have the same dream, and I wanna be there and I wanna be getting these awards and having these performances and presenting the awards,” Alaina began.
The American Idol alum went on to say that she felt “left out” having to miss the show this year as she was at home, 37 weeks pregnant with her first child — a baby girl.

“I’m home this year and I just wanna be honest about something, I’m feeling left out. I’m feeling sad. I’m feeling so many feelings because I have this little girl in here, and I want her to dream big, and I want her to believe in herself and go for whatever she wants to do,” she continued.
“I just feel kind of left behind. Like I’ve gotta create all this content and try to do all these things to try and have all these moments online. And it’s not just about writing music and putting songs out anymore, you have to do all these other things,” she added.
Alaina also said that she missed the event in 2024 and felt similarly.
In addition to fans rallying to support her in the comments section, she also received some love from her country music colleagues and friends.
“I love you, Junior,” wrote Trisha Yearwood.
“Love you LA,” said Cole Swindell.
On May 9, Alaina released her new song “All My Exes.”
