In Dakota Johnson’s new movie, Materialists, she’s in a love triangle with Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. So no, we could not be more jealous.
Although we have to wait until June 13 to see who she ends up with, the Madame Web actress’ family got to see a special screening of the movie in Los Angeles.

Johnson wore a well-fitting white maxi dress with a transparent, pleated skirt. It’s a look that screams romantic comedy lead. Just picture her in it, running down the streets of New York City in the spring, her maxi flowing in the wind, chasing her love.
For the look, Johnson’s hair was down, straight, and she wore bronzy makeup and a glossy brown lip.
Her mom, actress Melanie Griffith, wore a cream trench coat, a transparent brown turtleneck top, and jeans to celebrate her daughter’s new movie. Several of Johnson’s siblings were also at the screening.
Director Celine Song, who we have to thank for casting Evans and Pascal as dueling rom-com leads in the movie, wore a black collared shirt and a pleated black skirt.
Seeing Johnson and Griffith at the event together reminds us of their iconic 2015 interview moment on the Oscars red carpet. Then, the interviewer asked Griffith if she had seen Fifty Shades of Grey, starring her daughter. Griffith said, “No. I don’t think I can. I think it would be strange.” Johnson countered with, “No, I don’t think so. I think it’s fine. I think one day you can see it.”
Ah, these two.
