Ahead of the episode, TLC shared an exclusive clip with Parade of Natalie trying on a possible contender at Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan.
“I like the dress,” she told producers in the sneak peek clip. “But I’m not really sure yet, so I really want to get my family’s opinion. I can’t wait to see their reactions.”
That’s when Natalie revealed to her family how she looked in the $5,200 Martina Liana Luxe gown.
“I like how it flairs in the front and then covers your whole front,” her sister, Melissa pointed out.”
“I don’t want the dress to hide my chair,” Natalie countered.
“I’m not saying it’s hiding your chair,” Melissa clarified. “I’m saying I like the fullness in front of that.”
“I am in a chair,” Natalie said in a confessional. “I don’t need to cover it up with a huge ball gown.”
To that,Randy Fenoli explained, “Well this we can always take out,” as he exposed the underlayers of the dress that gave it its volume. “That’s an easy fix.”
Natalie’s mom then told producers, “I think she’s trying to like it because we all like it so much. She doesn’t want to disappoint any of us but she wants to stay true to what she really likes.”
Ultimately, the bride-to-be passed on the gown.
“I’m kind of feeling a little sad at the moment because there was so much material. You couldn’t see the whole front of my chair at all,” Natalie confessed. “I want to see me in the chair. So I want something more sleek and classy and sexy.”
