Donny Osmond is celebrating his “crazy adventure” of marriage with wife Debbie Osmond.

The singer, 67, posted a touching tribute to his wife, 66, alongside a throwback black and white photo of them on Instagram in honor of their 47th wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 8.

“Thank you, Debbie, for saying yes to my proposal 47 years ago and for sharing this incredible and crazy adventure through show business with me,” Donny captioned the post. “You’ve been more than I could have ever hoped for—my partner, my anchor, my inspiration, and my dear wife.”

He also shared the post to his Instagram Stories with the 1981 song “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie playing in the background.

Donny and Debbie first met when they were teenagers, with Donny revealing in a 2016 Facebook update that Debbie was 15 years old and dating his brother, Jay, at the time. After Debbie and Jay split, she and Donny dated for three years before tying the knot at the Salt Lake Utah Temple in 1978.

After getting married, the pair went on to welcome five children together: sons Don Jr., Jeremy, Brandon, Chris and Josh. Over the years, their children have started families of their own, giving the couple 14 grandchildren.

Earlier this year on Feb. 26, Donny shared a carousel of images of Debbie at various moments during their decades-long romance in honor of her 66th birthday. In the sweet caption of his Instagram post, he called his wife the “girl who captured my heart.”

Although Debbie isn’t in the spotlight as much as Donny is, they have made a handful of cute appearances together over the years. Donny has also spoken fondly of his wife on social media and in interviews.

“Debbie has given my life stability,” Donny told PEOPLE in 2022. “She keeps my feet on the ground.”
