According to ABC News, police initially stated only that the suspect was a 70-year-old man. However, by Wednesday, May 7, authorities released his name along with the charges he’s facing. Jennifer was home during the incident but was unharmed. A security guard on-site detained the man until officers arrived and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect has been identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, who was booked on felony vandalism charges for allegedly crashing his vehicle through Jennifer Aniston’s front gate. He is currently being held without bond. Authorities say additional charges could be filed if the investigation determines that Carwyle intentionally drove through the gate.
