Jon Hamm, John Slattery and Zoey Deutch will star in a new R-rated comedy set against the backdrop of the entertainment industry. The film, which has the placeholder title of Untitled Celebrity Pass Movie, will be directed by David Wain, who is best known for his work behind the camera on “Role Models” and “Wet Hot American Summer.” Sabrina Impacciatore, Ben Wang, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Ken Marino round out the heavyweight ensemble.

Described as an “off-the-rails odyssey through modern day Hollywood,” the film was written by Wain and Marino. The pair previously collaborated on “Wanderlust,” “Childrens Hospital,” and “The State,” as well as “Role Models.” It shot on location in Los Angeles, and was a recipient of the California Film & Television Tax Credit program.

In the film, a Midwestern bride-to-be, Gail Daughtry (Deutch), has a celebrity hall pass agreement with her fiancé… who uses it. Their relationship in crisis, Gail sets out on an epic journey through Hollywood to even the scales.

Robert Herjavec, Chechen Dong, Tom Griffin, Amanda Chang, Adrian Politowski, Jamie Canniffe, Franny Baldwin, Hamm, Deutch and Slattery will executive produce. “I couldn’t be more excited to bring this wildly fun story to life with such a brilliant team,” said Zhang “Working with David Wain, Ken Marino and attaching this phenomenal cast — including Zoey Deutch, Jon Hamm and John Slattery — has been a dream come true. I can’t wait for audiences to join us for this super wacky comedy with lots of heart.”
