Julia Louis-Dreyfus hasn’t forgotten Elaine Benes’ most iconic move.

While walking the red carpet at the N.Y.C. special screening of Thunderbolts*, Louis-Dreyfus, 64, spoke exclusively with PEOPLE. When asked about her Seinfeld character Elaine, she admitted there’s one request she gets all the time from fans of the show — though it’s not one she’s willing to oblige.

“They often come up to me and ask me if I want to dance. You want to dance?” she said, giving an impression.

But when asked if she gives in to fan requests and recreates Elaine’s well-gifed dance moment, she simply responded, “No.”

In the eighth season of Seinfeld, Elaine hosts a company party, and in an effort to liven up the mood, she offers to dance first. Her jerky, spastic motions draw concerned looks from others at the event, ultimately losing her a lot of respect from those who attended the party. Despite the episode airing in 1996, it’s become one of the most-shared moments from the show.

“The night before the table read, I had the script, and frankly, I just stood in front of a mirror and tried to do movements that looked incredibly bad,” Louis-Dreyfus told Vanity Fair in 2019. “I had a few of them, and I remember my mom was staying with us at the time and I came downstairs and I sort of auditioned these different movements for my mom and my husband — and they all voted on the one that I did”

Despite being known for her comedy (and Elaine’s bad dancing), Louis-Dreyfus took on the role of the decidedly unfunny villain in Marvel’s newest superhero movie, Thunderbolts*. Portraying Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, the Director of the CIA and the chairwoman of the black-ops organization O.X.E., viewers watch the corporate woman manipulate the heroes for her own selfish gain — making her a particularly frightening antagonist.

Before the film’s premiere, Louis-Dreyfus admitted that one of her main motivations for taking on a role that’s outside her typical purview was her want to impress her sons, Henry, 32, and Charlie, 27.

“Well, I mean, I was intrigued to do it because, of course, it’s iconic, but really because it was … well, you wouldn’t have necessarily thought of me for it,” Louis-Dreyfus previously told PEOPLE in April. “And I also wanted to impress my kids.”

The actress shares her two adult sons with her husband, Brad Hall.

Thunderbolts* premiered in theaters on Friday, May 2.
