While “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” awaits a Season 27 pickup, it’s been revealed that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will not be returning if the show does get picked up.
Martinez joined the cast earlier this season as Detective Kate Silva, while Pisano joined in Season 23 as Detective Joe Velasco.

Dick Wolf: Mariska Hargitay, ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Pioneered #MeToo ‘a Long Time Ago’
Last month, Michele Fazekas was named the new showrunner becoming the first female showrunner in the procedural’s history.
“Law & Order: SVU” was created by Dick Wolf and led by Mariska Hargitay, who portays Capt. Olivia Benson of the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. It is the longest-running show in the “Law & Order” family, and stars Ice T, Peter Scanavino and Kevin Kane.
The series, which debuted in TKTK, was a spinoff of “Law & Order.” It also led to the spinoff “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” which streams on Peacock; “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.,” all of which air on NBC; and “FBI,” “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International.” While the latter three currently air on CBS, “Most Wanted” and “International” will not be returning for more seasons.
“SVU” executive producers include Wolf, Graziano, Julie Martin, Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown and Peter Jankowski.
The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
