“Finally, I’m getting a moment to practice again!” Colby captioned her update. “This absolutely gorgeous snake costume was made for me during the pandemic by @house.of.envy it is easily one of my favorite costumes.”
In the featured image, Colby rocked a snakeskin-print costume with cutouts galore showing plenty of skin. She rocked a snakeskin cape and mask with a colorful hat and dangerous-looking stilettos to complete the hypnotizing look.
Although she hasn’t had a chance to perform live with the serpent-inspired costume, Colby said she’s been “workshopping this routine for a half a decade.” And with the opening of her new Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa, she now has a place to perform.
That’s when the burlesque enthusiast—who performs under the stage name Dannie Diesel—made her big reveal.
“@ecdysiastartsmuseum opening June 21 in Davenport Iowa,” she announced.
Colby concluded, “I’m doing my best to find balance between burlesque, the museum and family as I enter a new phase of life. How do you find balance? Give me some tips.❤️🐍.”

Colby’s return to burlesque and the opening of her stripping-themed museum came after she was forced to cancel shows in December.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, she explained, “Had some very serious health issues happening within my family; I really don’t want to get too much in detail. It’s not my health I’m speaking of.”
Colby then referenced a mystery illness of her own in April when she posted a snap of herself in a different burlesque costume.

Hopefully, Colby is feels much better today as she prepares to kick off her new business venture. We wish her the best!
