Sabrina Carpenter wore a burgundy Louis Vuitton pantsless look at the Met Gala 2025.
As she explained designer Pharrell of Louis Vuitton told her, “You’re short so no pants for you!”
This is Carpenter’s third Met Gala appearance.
Sabrina Carpenter is on the scene for fashion’s biggest night—and her “Tailored for You” look really was tailored just for her. In line with the exhibit theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the pop star walked the red carpet at the Met Gala 2025 wearing a burgundy blazer by Pharrell for Louis Vuitton—and absolutely no pants.
The cropped fitted blazer featured white lapels with a silver chain and two long trains from each hip. Underneath, she wore a matching plunging leotard… and not much else.
“I’m such a massive fan of Pharrell’s and had been to the show and was just like, ‘If I could go this year with him that would be my dream,’ and it came true,” Carpenter explained in a red carpet interview, adding, “He was like, ‘You’re short so no pants for you!’ So here we are.”

The final component of her look was, of course, “super high shoes—that’s like a staple for me in my life.” Her platform heels were the perfect matching shade of burgundy.
Carpenter wore her signature blonde hair in a long blow-out with side-swept curtain bangs and accessorized with an array of silver rings and a silver anklet. She finished things off with a smokey glam look and a swipe of complementary burgundy lipstick.

This marks Carpenter’s third Met Gala appearance. Last year, she wore a black and blue gown while making her Met Gala debut with Barry Keoughan. The pair officially called it quits at the end of last year.
