Ciara is always a level up, and the 2025 Met Gala was no exception. The “Ride” singer graced the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s steps in a little black dress that had lots of sexy, glittery twists.

For her take on this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Ciara showed up and showed out in an elegant, trailing black gown, featuring huge cutouts that plunged all the way down to her navel and bared her hips. The slivers of black satin fabric were held together with layers and layers of diamond strings that went all the way up her neck. She radiated in the glittering centerpiece, which she paired with black stiletto heels, a diamond ring, and diamond drop earrings.

As for beauty, the dancer debuted a major hair transformation, by way of a two-tone platinum blonde and dark brown pixie. She styled her new crop gelled back with one tendril hanging out. She rounded everything off with sultry glam, composed of a dark smoky eye, cat eye, defined eyebrows, light-pink lip, and glossy black manicure.
She arrived with none other than her husband and NFL star Russell Wilson, who looked dapper in a black tuxedo, matching bowtie, wool overcoat, diamond brooch, and dark shades.
This year’s Met Gala dress code is inspired by scholar Monica Miller’s book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The fashion showcase—which is co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Anna Wintour, and LeBron James—is accompanied by an exhibit featuring work from designers Virgil Abloh and Grace Wales Bonner, among many others.

This marks Ciara’s eighth time attending the prestigious fashion fundraiser. Before tonight, she last attended the event in 2022, when she took on the dress code, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” Then, the multi-hyphenate stunned in a black-and-silver sequin covered gown that featured one long sleeve and a soaring thigh-high leg slit. She paired the figure-hugging Michael Kors creation with silver peep-toe platforms, layers of silver bangles, a smattering of silver rings, and silver stud earrings.
As for beauty, she swept her dark brown locks back into a half-up, half-down ‘do and accessorized with silver gems down her middle part. She wore a fierce cat-eye wing, glittery eyeshadow, and shiny lip gloss.
