If Jodie Turner-Smith knows how to do anything, it’s turn heads. The British actor and model made her third appearance at the Met Gala tonight, where she donned an incredible Burberry look with a statement-making hat. Excuse me as I catch my breath here:
Before she effortlessly stunned on the Met steps, Jodie actually celebrated this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” at Wayman + Michah’s Pre-Met party held at the DIMES Seven24 at Gansevoort Hotel on May 4.
She opted for a gray menswear look, which is definitely dandy-approved in our book.
This isn’t the first time Jodie teamed up with Burberry to create a stunning Met Gala look. For the 2024 Met Gala, which was themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” the British luxury fashion house dressed her in a white floor-length gown featuring a plunging neckline and transparent floral drape for an angelic touch. And, according to Vogue, the gown included ivory silk organza faux feather flowers and 150,000 faux pearls.
“It makes me feel like a beautiful English garden,” Jodie mused of her look last year, adding, “The details on the dress represent that delicateness, but the pearl underdress feels like an armour, and indicates a strength behind the fragility of the tulle and organza.”
TL;DR: our girl doesn’t play when it comes to making a major fashion statement. The effort is always present!
